I simply love eBooks although I still have a vast collection of ordinary books in my library, both soft and hardcovers. But when it comes to my favourite, I prefer eBooks.
eBooks make having an enormous collection of books or a vast library fun and less cumbersome and at the same time gives very quick access to vital information with just a few clicks. I have a very large collection of eBooks on various subjects and all these are simply located in my hard drive both on my laptop and my external hard drive.
We are looking at over four thousand eBooks here. If I were to have them as hard copies, where exactly would I store them? not only am I saving space which is a big problem here in the UK, I am also having my books safely kept from theft and abuse. I love to read and I have always had respect for books from infancy.
I love to travel on vacation with a couple books to keep my mind busy but sometimes the trouble of having to carry extra items and paying for excess luggage leaves me wanting. Now I can have my favourite collection on a USB key if I can't take my laptop with me and that weighs less than an exotic parker pen. I just plug and play, that's all.
I don't have any problems reading from a screen, not at all. Some people complain about that and spend long hours before a TV set watching their favourite show, aha there you go. Ultimately, it all boils down to preferences. Anything that simplifies life for me is just fine as long as I am not breaking the law or endangering anyone's life or peace of mind. I simply love eBooks and they will always be my preference anywhere, anytime and anyplace.
Are eBooks Better Than Ordinary Books?Hyper-V virtual machine came onto the scene due to Microsoft's desire to compete with the current leader of virtual pc and platforms by the VMware Corporation.
Hyper-V is the planned competitor designed by Microsoft. The main goal of VMware software is to provide users with a complete virtualized hardware. This virtualized hardware can be then utilized by the user's current system. The advantages of such devices are many. First, it allows users multiple virtual platforms to be used simultaneously. Second, it permits and encourages shared pools of resources which will be of great benefit for companies with large data collections; and finally, this type of structures supports live migration without user interruption. Other points to consider in regards to VMware: that it allows one power virtual machines at the system boot phase. This means that one can turn on a Windows machine with VMware installed and have a virtual machine automatically started.
Hyper-V is similar to that of VMware as it focuses on virtual environments. A beta version was shipped with x86-64 editions of Windows Server 2008. The main idea of Hyper-V is that it supports isolation in terms of partitions. A partition is a part of a hard drive that can be made available to the operating system. Another difference between Hyper-V and VMware is of course the price. Hyper-V for five servers can run around 10,000 dollars whereas, the price for VMware can run up to 50,000 dollars for 5 servers. Another difference between the two systems is the number of specifications. VMware does not have application/service monitoring system whereas Microsoft Hyper-V does have this. Another important difference between the two is that VMware has been around longer than Microsoft Hyper-V which means that potential bugs and problems may occur whilst using Hyper-V whereas such problems may not arise with VMware.
There are of course disadvantages to virtual platforms and environments. One main disadvantage that is often overlooked is the requirement to acquire new knowledge. The virtual environment is not the same as a server outside such environment; therefore the administrator must update his/her skills and learn this new platform. Another important issue is machine failure. If the user has many virtual machines on one physical box then they may be in trouble should the hardware in that box fail. If the hardware fails, then all the virtual machines on that machine will suffer.
With the advent of both VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines, backup for these types of platforms are needed, as like any type of platform or software nothing is 100% guaranteed. Unlike the usual backup softwares that are aimed at USB devices, FTP networks, and tape, virtual backup software must cope and content with the devices and virtual platforms. Also since this is a new area, there are many areas for mistakes and problems can emerge. It is therefore important for the user to pay proper attention to the service conditions provided by backup software companies when purchasing backup software that deals with virtual machines and environments.

Twitter: If getting some attention in your niche is what your small business needs- Twitter is a great tool to keep fans, clients and family alike updated with the latest news. If utilized effectively, Twitter can be a modern day PR agency, minus the headache of management and associated costs.

Essential Online Business Software For Startups
You have probably heard the term 'malware' in recent months. The term malware was derived from 'malicious software' and describes any kind of software created for malicious intent. A common error that people make is to think all types of malware are computer viruses, where in actual fact the exact opposite is true. Computer viruses are just one category out of a whole host of categories listed as malware.
Similarly, worms and Trojan Horses are often mistaken for viruses. There are specific differences between each and I will do my best to straighten out the misconception.
What is a computer virus?
A computer virus is a small malicious software program that is typically designed to replicate and attach itself to the executable files of the infected computer. The computer virus can cause damage to the infected computer by deleting or corrupting files and system data or even the wiping the entire hard disk. Computer viruses spread from one computer to another when a user inadvertently shares an infected file with another user via the internet, as an attachment to an email or by means of a removable storage media such as a USB flash drive.
What is a worm?
The difference between a worm and a computer virus is that a worm can propagate without the need to attach itself to an executable file. A worm does not rely on the interaction of a user and exploits vulnerabilities in the security of the host computer. The worm's primary goal is to send copies of itself to any computer it can gain access to. While some worms are fairly harmless to the host machine, there are others designed to deliver a nasty payload. A typical payload would be to create a 'backdoor' to the infected machine which could be used to turn the computer into a zombie and add the computer as a node in a botnet. Botnet's are networks of zombie machines, controlled by the 'zombie master' and are commonly used by people responsible for most of the world's SPAM email.
What is a Trojan Horse?
In much the same way as the mythological Trojan Horse was used as a deceptive means to sneak a small army inside the gates of Troy, in computer terms, a Trojan Horse is software that appears to be legitimate and beneficial to the user, but harbors an unseen danger inside. Once the Trojan Horse has been activated it can delete important system files and cause all kinds of havoc. It can also create a backdoor on the infected machine, turning the computer into a zombie and adding it as a node in a botnet. Trojan Horse's do not replicate or infect files, executable or otherwise.
